Venice Canal bridge scene…Because I said So…

Great scene...

Just a pretty scene from the movie ‘Because I said So.’

This is the scene of Gabriel Macht (Johnny) in his bungalow with his little space astronaut who thinks people hail from other planets. : )

I can’t leave out this sweet heart sequence… : )

The “Same…Changes”… by The Weepies

I’m totally obsessed with motion picture soundtracks and probably will be for a long time.

There are quite a few songs that I like from the film “Morning Glory,” sort of the ultimate modern Romantic Comedy with none other than the lovely Rachel McAdams, Diane Keaton, and Harrison Ford.

But…I’m only going to share one song as I was reminded of how sweet this particular tune is when I ran across these videos…

One dynamic that pulls at my heart in any movie is the non-verbal expression. Sometimes…words just aren’t necessary to say what we mean…

Here’s the exchange that I liked, and you can tell someone else did too… : )

Scene: Rachel McAdams falling in love…

And finally, one last version…following the film’s story line…

Friends with Benefits – Ending scene

I really heart this movie. I know the story line has been done before but I love the dynamic between Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake and the fact that Justin’s character set-up a flashmob just for her…

Also, Mila Kunis’ character in the movie is so great. She’s strong and confident, albeit maybe not in the relationship context her character is secure with what she is doing on her own. She’s focused and knows what she wants.

Friends with Benefits–flashmob

I may just be borderline obsessed with the idea of flash mobs. I love the surprise you see in people’s faces and the energy that starts to spread. While this one in particular (being a movie) is obviously not a surprise, I still like it…AND it’s set in New York : )

It’s Complicated

Meryl Streep gets high and starts dancing with her x-husband Alec Baldwin, a classically funny scene in this movie. I love the big white lights surrounding the deck. I may just be attracted to scenes that sparkle. : )

Here is Meryl Streep’s charater’s lovely spanish-hacienda style home. The setting makes me smile. How pretty is it? Really, truly, absolutely beautiful is how. : )

P.S…here’s a short clip of the dance party scene.

…this is where it gets a little complicated : )

The Holiday

One of my favorites…not just because it’s a good Christmas movie—it works for me anytime of the year.

And…I can’t leave out the endearing friendship between Iris (Kate Winslet) and Arthur Abott  (Eli Wallach)…

Some of their conversations are heartwarming…all the way down to my toes…here’s one of those…006THD_Eli_Wallach_012

Arthur Abbott: So, he’s a schmuck.

Iris: As a matter of fact, he is… a huge schmuck. How did you know?

Arthur Abbott: He let you go. This is not a hard one to figure out. Iris, in the movies we have leading ladies and we have the best friend. You, I can tell, are a leading lady, but for some reason you are behaving like the best friend.

Okay…maybe one more scene… Continue reading
